Mustache Girl

This morning, I woke up at 7:30 and ate a breakfast of orange juice and yogurt. We went to the train satiation and saw the famous Louvre. That's where most of the important pictures, including the real Mona Lisa, are kept. If you don't know what the Mona Lisa is, it's basicly that girl you see all around with a mustache and glasses, except the real deal without the mustache and glasses. Let me just say, the Louvre was interesting. I mean....... what else can I say about a bunch of naked people in pictures.
After the Louvre, we went to see the St. Shappell. Up on the walls of this church is the whole story of the bible all made completely out of stained glass. Supposedly, they used to keep the crown of thorns there, but we don't know for certain.
After the St. Chappell, we went to the Latin corner and had a lunch of Gyros. Mmmmm. My favorite!!! We shopped around and I found a mini Eiffle Tower to give Tara for her late birthday present. You know, I gave her the best rock from the backyard, but for some reason, she didn't seem to like it.
After shopping, we went to the Arc De Triumph. I will tell you the quick version of it. We walked up stairs, took pictures at the top, and walked down stairs.
After the Arc De Triumph, we walked down the Champs Élysées. Then we caught the train, went to the market for dinner, and got home. I hope I don't have nightmares about......... THE MUSTACHE GIRL. Dun, dun, dun. 😟

Don't Even Talk About Lines

This morning we woke up at 6:50. ( Way too early. ) We showered, ate breakfast, got dressed, and headed out the door. Today we went to the palace of Versailles, mostly know for it's beauty. We arrived at we thought was a breathtaking long line, but that was just the beginning. It came to the very end, turned, went all the way up, turned, back down, and all the way up again. Again, and again, and again. And guess what, again!!! After deciding that it might be better when we came back, we went to the gardens surrounding the palace.
They were lovely. The king who used to own the property must of had to be rich. The trees were perfectly cut into squares, triangles, and differents shapes. Oaks stretched upwords making a wounderfull place to read a book on a hot summer day. Fields of flowers everywhere you can see. Water fountains so big they almost look like a swimming pool. But soon we felt tired and hungry. So we found a bench to eat our lunch of sandwiches over looking a sparkling lake.
No sooner than after we finished are lunch, it started pouring. You can guess it, we had to stand in the long line while it's raining. To make it even worse the line became even longer because people who slept in had now come. So much for waking up early. We were so cold we even snuggled together to make an umbrella tent. Unfortunately, the people behind us didn't have an umbrella, so we shared with them. An hour and a half past and we soon found ourselves in the cozy palace.
There were plenty of paintings, uncountable candles, and gold lining everything everywhere. We got phones to learn about the rooms. After the palace, we took the train home. For dinner we had salad, noodles, apples, cheese, and meat. As always we snuggled in are beds, good thing there's no line for that!
